kinda homeless...

So we bought a house and we were supposed to be in it on June 21...last Friday.  The house didn't close on time and the date was pushed back to the 28.  It didn't close on the 28th either and we had to be out of our apartment by the end of the month.  We have some AMAZING friends (Tyler and Lisa Quick, and Kylee and Caleb) that have allowed us to take over their basement, their garage, and their driveway.  We currently have all of our stuff in a U-Haul sitting out in front.  The new closing date is tomorrow, the first of July and we are hoping to get in by tomorrow night!!! So cross your fingers for us please! The house is here in East Renton highlands and we will be sure to put up some great pics once we get in.   Wish us luck...third time's a charm!

One of Tayden's cute quirks: He can say "suit" but when combing it with bathing he decides to say "bathing soup." :) He always keeps us smiling.
Hope everyone is enjoying some sunshine somewhere!

Time for an update?

Someone mentioned to me that it's been awhile since I last blogged...Ok...May 2 was awhile ago and our little Taydster has changed a TON!!!

On May 31st, Tayden and I were able to go visit the "Willies" (Sister, Bro-in-law, and 1 year old Isaac) in Virginia.  The Williams are right outside DC for a couple months while Steven does his internship.  We had such a great time! It was especially cute to see the two boys get along.  They are about 8 months apart, but they are going to be close cousins.  Tayden showed Isaac how to run around like a wild man, play with rocks, and jump on the bed like a monkey.

Tayden sharing the rocks he found on the ground.

We went to the Mall and saw the Capitol, the White house, the Washington Monument, and the Smithsonian.  We saw the air and space museum, which might have been Tayden's favorite museum.  He kept looking up and pointing at the various air crafts. He even learned a few new words: rocket, astronaut, and spaceship.

We went to the Natural History Museum.  Tayden just kept saying, "Dino, dino, dino," while pointing at everything.  He loved the dinosaurs and the sea creatures.

One thing is for sure: These two boys are becoming best buddies!

They played with the door stops,
took baths,
used each other as a pillow (mainly Tayden using Isaac as a pillow),
and cruised around Costco together.
Tayden showed Auntie Kristen how to use her computer right.  He is just like his daddy :)

We went to the NATIONAL ZOO!!! Tayden can still tell you everything that we saw there: "Panda eat bamboo, giant turtles, lion ROAR!, monkeys, seals..."  He loves animals so much and he is really good at making all of the animal noises.

We played at George Washington's garden.  It is a garden that has been adapted to be a playground for children. It was really cute and fun.

One thing that this trip proved is that Tayden is a great traveler! He was amazing! He loved watching the airplanes, trucks, and trains (luggage trucks) outside of the airport windows.  He fell asleep on almost every flight and every time that he looked out of the airplane window he would get excited and yell, "AIRPLANE" while pointing to the wing.  He loves airplanes!

Cousins.... :)

A lot has happened since this trip so I will try to blog again in the next few days.  We were able to go to North Idaho and see Tyler's brother graduate from high school.  It was really fun.  Oh, and we are supposed to be moving into our new home right now, but our closing date was pushed back to Monday or Tuesday.  For any of you that didn't catch that...WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!! So cross your fingers for us please so that we don't have to live with boxes everywhere for too much longer.  Thanks! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
